The difference of Aluminum 3003 and 5052
The AA 3003 and AA5052, as the two popular alloy, are used very widely. However, most do not know the difference, here i will list the difference between AA3003 H24 and AA5052 H24 below.
1. Chemical composition: AA3003, al-mn alloy, its main element is mn, and AA5052, al-mg, and its main element is mg, and the aluminum element of 3003 is a little higher than 5052.
2. Physical property: AA5052 is better than 3003, for the tenisal strength of 3003H24 is 145-195Rm/MPa, and 5052H24 is 230-280Rm/MPa, and the ellongation of AA3003H24 is 115Rm/MPa, and AA5052H24 is 150Rm/MPa.
3. Specication: AA3003 are manily for thin sheet, and AA5052 is used for thin and thick sheet.
4. Production usage: AA3003 are mainly used in the humid enviroment, as product packaging, refrigerator, air conditioner, cold room, ventilation duct. AA5052 can be used in electrical shell, traffic vehicles, pressure vessels, automobile, airplane oil tank, oil pipe.
5. Price: AA5052 is much higher than AA3003 in the same specification.
